Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells is a special in house radio station, providing programmes twenty four hours a day, 7 days each week to the patients of the Kent and Sussex and Tonbridge Cottage hospitals. The output of the station can be heard across the hospitals at patient's bedsides and, in some wards, through speakers.

We are a registered charity based in Tunbridge Wells, with approximately forty active members who are dedicated to making the patient's stay in hospital a little more pleasant. We produce a number of varied programmes, which both entertain and inform, ranging from request shows to weekly magazine shows with news, sport and features. The music policy varies to meet all tastes from hymns and classical music to the latest chart and easy listening music.

Should you wish to request a particular song, please call our studio hotline on 01892 528528 at any time. During our broadcasting hours your call will be taken in person, while at other times of the day or night, you may leave a message on our answering service. However most wards are visited at least once a week by our request collectors.

We broadcast from our premises in the grounds of the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells. The studios took six years to equip and were funded by events held by station volunteers and through funding from local businesses. We are extremely grateful to the local shops and businesses who have supported our events and, because of their help, we managed to raise in excess of fifty-five thousand pounds.
